I think my love for art began before I could even walk. My mom played music for me while I was still in her belly, and by kindergarten, I was already dancing to Bulgarian songs. In fourth grade, I discovered popping and hip-hop, and I almost auditioned for a K-pop training program (sorry, Mom!). What started as a childhood obsession gradually grew into a passion for choreography, theater, music, and storytelling. I've since brought soldiers, ghosts, and grieving brothers to life onstage, discovering how art can express emotions that words sometimes cannot. Through countless rehearsals, creative experiments, and shared performances, I've learned to turn scattered ideas into meaningful stories and connect with people from all walks of life. To me, art isn't just about creating or performing. It's where imagination, emotion, and human connection come together, and where I feel most like myself.

Ams Crew

I've been dancing for as long as I can remember, but joining Ams Crew felt like finding a place where my wildest ideas could finally come to life. As Head of Dance, I led 20 dancers, each with their own styles, personalities, and ways of hearing the music. Sometimes, I would choreograph entire formations before choosing a song, imagining how every movement could fit into a bigger story. Turning those messy ideas into something beautiful took countless rehearsals, missed eight-counts, and a lot of patience, but seeing everything come together onstage made it worth every exhausted evening.

Over two years, I choreographed 20+ performances across 10+ events, including a nationally televised performance at the Road to Mount Olympia finals before 3,000+ spectators.

But nothing compares to "Gui Lua", our war-inspired showcase, where I was one of four lead choreographers. We spent weeks bringing stories of sacrifice and remembrance to life through dance. I'll never forget seeing the entire audience rise to sing Vietnam's national anthem, visibly moved by our performances. With 1,000 tickets sold out and over 10 million VND raised for war veterans and martyrs' families, I realized that our dancing could do more than entertain. It could bring people together through shared emotions and memories.

Beyond the stage, I organized free dance workshops, welcoming people regardless of their experience, and shared my journey with 350+ listeners at TEDx HanoiAmsterdam Youth through How Dancing Transforms My Brain. I spoke about how eight-count discipline, choreography, and working with different personalities had shaped the way I approached challenges beyond dance

Ams Crew gave me more than performances to remember. It gave me people to grow alongside, stories worth telling and the confidence to turn even my craziest ideas into something others could feel.

The Festival of Talents is Hanoi–Amsterdam High School's largest annual student festival, bringing together 13 specialized departments to compete in performing arts, creativity, and sports.

Who says Math students can't steal the spotlight? For two consecutive years, I led the choreography for 40+ Math students, turning a group of classmates with different personalities and dancing abilities into one team. After placing among the Top 3 most-loved performances in 2024, we returned in 2025 and won the Talent Competition for the first time in our department's 15-year history. I still remember the excitement of celebrating with classmates who had spent countless afternoons rehearsing together.

Beyond dancing, I helped write scripts, develop creative concepts, and act in our department's productions. I also stepped outside my comfort zone to compete as a Class Ambassador, combining popping and locking with public speaking and photoshoots, eventually earning a Top 10 placement and the Stylish Ambassador title

That recognition opened an unexpected door: becoming a Student Brand Ambassador for Jan21st, one of Vietnam's leading graduation photography studios. For someone who once felt insecure about his own smile, finding myself confidently in front of the camera was a pretty surprising turn of events!

Head of Performers Team

Hanoi Amsterdam Art Team

"

Dancing taught me how to tell stories through movement, but theater challenged me to tell them through someone else's eyes. At HAT, my school's largest performing arts collective, I discovered the excitement of becoming characters whose lives were nothing like my own.

As Head of Performers Team, I trained 18 members in acting, character development, vocal expression, and body language. I also took leading roles and co-choreographed two musical productions: Message of Love, exploring relationships and understanding, and GALA HAT, a story of family, loss, and healing

In GALA HAT, I portrayed a 37-year-old brother grieving the loss of his sister. Trying to understand emotions I had never experienced myself was one of my greatest acting challenges. Together, our productions featured 15+ performances, over 50 supporting dancers, and 1,000+ audience members.

What fascinated me most was how a single gesture, a pause, or a change in expression could make an imaginary character feel real. Theater taught me that telling someone else's story begins with learning to see the world through their eyes.
